About Us

Starlight Stables and Mustang Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in central Utah dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of all equines, with priority given to unhandled wild horses and burros from BLM and US Forest Service herd management areas.

Our Goal

We believe that every horse and burro deserves love and safety, whether that is in a sanctuary setting like the one we offer, or in a safe forever home with a well-matched private adopter. Our goal is to help find good homes for as many of these equines as possible.

How we got started

Hollynn has long been a landscape and wildlife photographer. After moving to Utah, she discovered that there were still herds of wild Mustangs spread out across the vast Western landscapes. Some of these wild horses live in Utah. Once she saw theses horses in their natural environment, she fell in love with their power, natural beauty, emotiveness, and raw wildness.
